Extension and Refurbishment of an
Edwardian Detached House in Ranelagh.
This project involved the complete
refurbishment and construction of a two
storey extension to a large detached two
storey edwardian house in Ranelagh, a
protected structure. The brief was to provide
a modern comfortable bright family home
whilst also respecting its architectural
heritage. As the house was a protected
structure, the two storey extension to the
rear and sunroom extension to the side were
built in a character sympathetic to the main
house. The two storey extension was built in
red brick and the roof was hipped and finished
in natural slate. The extension accommodated
a new utility area, kitchen and family area at
ground floor level and two new good sized
family bathrooms and a walk in wardrobe at
first floor level.
